  what a sad joke!

  posters here talk about the "do more" pushiness in the organization and that is so true!

  elders just assume that you want to carry microphones and work your way up the spiritual ladder to that blissful state of total immersion in "kingdom matters.

  i remember near the end of my life as a jw, our local kh was being remodeled.

  Almost all the young boys were doing their best to work and be noticed by the elders.

  This one uppety, elder (Renfrow) was walking around yelling and telling all the guys what they should be doing.

  This overweight guy didn't lift a finger to help anyone, yet he acted like a real construction expert.

  FYI : he runs a store that sells aquarium fish, where did he get all of his "expertness",,,, gods spirit ?

  answer - why yes of course they did!.

  discipline may come from someone else.

  it may come as a look, a frown, a word, a gesture, a verbal reproof.

  Since Leaving "The Truth" Are You Really Happier?

  witnesses say that when people leave "the truth", they get involved in a debauched life, misery, and general unhappiness.. they give experiences of some that left the "sweet fellowship" of the "brotherhood" and the awful results because of it.

  then, they come back and their lives change 100% for the better!.

  have you found life to be miserable and unproductive since "leaving jehovah"?.

  first of all- a little history.

  my ex-wife a fanatic jw seems to be in a pissing match ( not of my choosing ) with me over trying to get my son back into the jw cult.

  he's 25, been out of the witnesses since 17 and he is very happy with his life .he has a great girlfriend, he enjoys gardening growing his own vegetables and he is a performing singer/guitarist now writing songs and performing in front of hundreds of people .

  At a 2 day assembly ...the point that the brother spoke about that drove me mad....."don't hug your husband, wife or child during prayer".

  i attended one day of a two day assembly and did ok until the very last talk.

  the brother was from bethal and well jw's pay closer attention to their talks, cause that is when some new info is given,,,right.

  well anyways i lost focus and began to daydream, cause it became one of those talks that just talks about wasting time.

  when still in the watchtower, i used to be an assistant ministerial servant.

  true, there is no such title but its there unofficially for those one step to being a ministerial servant.
